Get ready for me to talk smack (for charity that is)
Get ready because tonight begins a 10-day celebration of talking smack for charity. Along with Chris Heuer (@chrisheuer) and L.P. Neenz Faleafine (@neenz), I will be helping to raise money for “Save the Whales Again” on behalf of Hayden Panettiere. We will henceforth be known as TEAM HAYDEN!
Here’s the catch, our team is raising funds against other celebrities and their social media team members. THIS MEANS THAT WE WANT TO BEAT THEM! Not only are we helping to raise money for a good cause, but it’s a chance to show the power of our networks (versus other teams). Let’s show them we’re a force to be reckoned with!
People will be able to donate beginning this evening (you can guarantee I’ll be sending that link out like crazy), however the link is not live yet.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP RIGHT NOW:
- If you’re on Twitter, tweet this: GO TEAM HAYDEN! @neenz @chrisheuer @PRsarahevans #smack09 http://tr.im/smackdown
- Do you have great lines to help me talk smack against the other social media players? Check them out, here. Send your ideas and I’ll give you credit for them if I use them!
- Want to sponsor our team and help with matching donations? Let me know.
ABOUT TEAM HAYDEN
Help Hayden save the whales again! Don’t mess with Team Hayden – they’ve got some pret-ty big friends. Visit Hayden’s site and learn how she is risking it all to put a Smackdown on worldwide whaling.
Hayden has been a global force for the Whaleman Foundation’s Save the Whales Again! campaign. Along with her fellow celebs Isabel Lucas and Pierce Brosnan, Hayden has risked arrest, met with government leaders and traveled the world on behalf of our flippered friends.
ABOUT SAVE THE WHALES AGAIN
The Whaleman Foundation is an oceanic research, conservation and production organization dedicated to preserving and protecting dolphins, whales, and their ocean habitats.
Whaleman is accomplishing all of this via the Save the Whales Again! Campaign whose mission is to end whaling worldwide, while raising public awareness to all the other threats dolphins and whales face including toxic pollution, noise pollution, global warming, loss of habitat, entanglement in fishing nets, collisions with ships, and increasing whaling.
