#journchat LIVE – August 17

#journchat LIVE

Monday, August 17, 2009

6:30 – 9:00 p.m. CST

7:30  - 10:00 p.m. EST

The mission of #journchat has always been to improve the relationships between public relations professionals, journalists and bloggers. Together we’ve created a safe environment to explore each industry and ultimately how social media is influencing all of us.

The goal of #journchat LIVE is to have simultaneous live events occurring at the same time around the United States (and elsewhere if time zones permit). We’ve spent more than seven months sharing our thoughts and opinions online.  While this format may not change, it was suggested that we incorporate a face-to-face event.

Each event will be planned and promoted by a #journchat champion. These individuals (along with a few of their trusted LIVE leaders) will help to facilitate discussion and document the experience via social media. The LIVE events will still incorporate questions generated by the #journchat moderator and others in the online community.

#journchat will still be moderated from the
Chicago LIVE location by
me and Kate Gardiner (champion)

Are you a #journchat champion?

The champions are responsible for promoting and planning a #journchat LIVE event for their area/region.  A list of all champions and events will be created and posted at PRsarahevans.com (or another location if it becomes appropriate).

If you would like to be a champion, email your name, Twitter ID and city and state where you would like to host a LIVE session to prsarahevans at gmail dot com.

All events will be hosted and managed via the #journchat Facebook account.

[...] #Journchat Live, that’s a pretty exciting idea, can’t wait to see it come to life. Sarah has also recently launched her own Social Media strategy consultancy, Sevan Strategy. It was great meeting her in person after being just an online friend. She’s as nice in person as she is online, and I’d like to thank her again for participating in A & Q. AKPC_IDS += “1821,”; [...]
