Personally I’m not a fan of either of those actors. So I don’t put much value in their movie lines. These days I think less and less people care about real news. The gossip and speculation is just so much more entertaining to those people.

I don’t think people really appreciate that someone finds out the truth. They just take it for granted that someone will take it upon themselves to take care of it.

This a good movie! I did enjoy that line…it’s one of those, where I knew where it came from but could not figure out completely until I read the rest. Thanks for posting and giving the credit to the movie.

The thirst for news is there, but people are loathe to pay for it, and newspaper subscriptions are dwindling alarmingly. Rupert Murdoch has stated that he’ll charge for online news, and Google is backing him by announcing special browsing to enable the newspapers to charge for their content after the first free click.
To me this is great news, as it will make people look for the free alternatives, as that is how the internet functions, and thus more likely to encounter “real” news, and not the sanitized drivel served up by the mainstream propaganda mouthpieces.
