Before my recent keynote at the PR News Digital PR Next Practices Summit, Douglas Simon, President and CEO of D S Simon Productions, took time to chat with me. You can view his post here and watch the interview, below.
I’ll say it first so no one else has to. I was having a bad hair day.
Funny comment Sarah. It’s understandable that your top priority may not be how good your hair is when you have to deliver a big keynote speech.
Thank you for your site. And Sarah, no honestly don’t think really bad hair day. Try having really curly hair on rainy day. lol
I didn’t even notice your bad hair. You are so right about common sense but often times common sense is not so common.
Thanks for the nice post. I am expecting some different idea from your side. You always represent some new thought in your post.
Fantastic job on the interview Sarah, I didn’t think your hair was bad at all, you looked great!
Great interview, Sarah. Don’t worry about the hair, I never even noticed anything wrong about it. It has that ‘working/busy’ look that I find appealing anyway.
Don’t worry about the hair, you look great!
Sarah your one comment about your hair has got everyone focusing on it now. I am envious of your public speaking skills. You are a natural in front of a camera. I’m sure you do just as well up on stage delivering speeches and presentations.
Fantastic interview. As what others have said, Sarah, don’t worry about your hair. You look just fine and your words are impressive.
Guys, I don’t think we should be discussing anyones hairs. This post is not about fashion patrol.
Thanks for sharing Evans..:)
@Essay, I agree with you we should focus in the interview
Great job Sarah! getting ready for conference #140 in Michigan
@Laptop, Great point and you are 100% right Sarah is really does have tremendous talent in speaking and its really evident in her interview.
I agree, I wish I had that much confidence in public speaking. I can be a very good speakers amongst a small group of friends but when I know there’s a lot of people going to be listening to what I say, I get nervous and stutter.
I totally agree with being a good speakers and great advice on PR material.
Every one has a bad hair day now and again but your looked fine. It is hard sometimes to get everything you need together and in order with out stressing out a bit. You had a lot on your plate so it isn’t surprising you felt a bit off.
Loved being able to watch the interview Sarah. Thanks so much for sharing.
I agree with Laptop Briefcase. Many comments about hair. She has good communication skill.
awww, don’t worry dear. you look amazing. and it was a good interview..
Good for you, getting an interview like that! People who are prepared to be on camera have an entire staff to make sure they look perfect. You don’t need a staff!
Everyday is a bad hair day for me! Nice video and thank you so much for sharing.
@Cheap HDMI Cables, I wish I can say the same but I don’t have much hair left
@car battery, I’m extreme shy and is one of the reason I never had done a video blog
@Wordgeist: It’s never easy to do video. I’m constantly nervous. If you ever decide to try one out, let us know!
Who is this Simon dude anyway?
Thanks for sharing your strategies in this video. I like how practical and down to earth your answers are. A good general rule is to interact with people online similar to offline. Online social networks (in general) are a reflection of offline social networks. This thought can lead businesses to some successful positive interactions online. Good job on the interview!
