The affluent/education stat stands out to me the most. That’s amazing. I’m in the 79%, but definitely not the income numbers. Thanks Sarah.

these are cool facts.. i agree with the second note.. you can’t be on your desktop all of the time.. smartphones and tablets are the most convenient way to post when you’re on the run…

These are interesting findings. I can’t imagine how you would blog from a Smartphone… perhaps more like photo-blogging rather than full length blog postings!

Hi Sarah, I should probably read the full report but can you expand on this stat? “25% of all bloggers are already engaged in blogging” Seems that “100% of bloggers are already engaged in blogging,” No?

Hi Lon. I guess it should say 25% of all bloggers surveyed. So sorry for any confusion. If you need more clarification, don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks for stopping by! S.

Thanks a lot, Sarah. Great recap. Interesting that blogging is the primary income for only 11%. I guess that number will probably decrease as the competition increases. I still have to rely on a day job for primary income.

These facts somehow influence my view on blogging. The number of full-time bloggers is much more than was expected.

I agree that this line is confusing:
25% of all bloggers are already engaged in bloggingWhy would someone call themselves a blogger when they are not yet engaged in blogging? I assume this was supposed to be ‘25% of respondents’.

The other interesting stat to me is how many people have been blogging for 2+ years already. I think this reflects how it may have become more difficult to get into blogging. Or maybe it’s just that the people with a true passion for blogging already go into it years ago.

If 65% are age 18-44, so does that mean the other 35 are from 17 below or 45 and up?
