November 20th, 2013. Interior, Two Tone Wall Design Ideas.
Going for monotone is really monotonous now, as two-tone wall design ideas are on their hype. Some people may think it’s going to be weird to combine two different colors onto the same wall. Well, it actually takes some courage to do it, but nothing should be worried, as with balance and synergic colors, two-tone wall will rock your whole home design. Let’s look at some tips and ideas.
First, you need to know what concept you want before you make two-tone wall. Let’s say we’re going for marine or sailor concept, then combining marine blue and white onto the wall would be perfect. However, let’s make sure that this amazing wall is supported by some furniture and decoration in synergy, like ornamental hanging anchor, bottled ship and couch in similar tone. Another idea, let’s say your choice of concept is minimalist, so you can combine white with grey or red. Avoid black painted wall for minimalist or any concept, since it would be too dark during the day.
If you’re not bold enough to do two-tone wall in 50:50 composition, then you can go safe with one color for the wall and another color for ceiling. Or you can make a single stripe in different color on the wall. For example, you can make a green stripe on cream-painted wall to create nature ambience.
