Is Allegiant Stadium heated?
Located adjacent to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, Allegiant Stadium is a global events destination, highlighted by the arrival of the NFL's iconic Raiders in 2020. Allegiant Stadium is conveniently located for both visitors and locals, fully enclosed and climate-controlled with a capacity of 65,000.
The stadium has a massive A/C system which can keep the entire stadium from 70–74 degrees on a 100 F + degree day.
Allegiant's HVAC system is divided into quadrants, two of which are an air-handling unit and a bowl unit that serves each quad. Energy recovery ventilation that helps with dehumidification serves locker room spaces, and fan coil units that can heat and cool, depending on seasonal needs, service administrative areas.
Weighing nearly 20 million pounds, the playing field is housed in a movable four-foot-deep “tray” and moves on 540 electrically-powered wheels across 13 rails, which allows the natural grass field to move outdoors for sunlight and water.
