The show actually cost over $21 million to create yet still made Netflix a profit of about $1 billion.
Speaking to Dexerto, the League developers confirmed Arcane is completely divorced from Netflix—Riot “fully produces the series” with French studio Fortiche. Netflix, which has dominated the streaming wars for some years, took the bold step recently to all but shutter its animation department.
The answer is an unequivocal NO. In fact, as many passionate LoL fans have pointed out; not knowing anything going into it may be better. Since, after all, you'll have zero knowledge on how and where Arcane's cast of characters end up in the game.
According to FlixPatrol, the animated series didn't meet global standards the way how Squid Game did. In the United States, Arcane is only ranked number 8 which is a few ranks away from Squid Game.
