What countries love British accents?
The British accent was voted the absolute hottest on earth, coming top in countries as far-flung as Sweden, China, India and the USA. A British brogue was particularly desirable in Asia, with South Korea and Malaysia also finding UK accents too hot to handle.
So, want to know which region came top? It was the 'Welsh accent', whatever that is, with 20 points. This was closely followed by the Yorkshire accent, with a total of 15. The top five was rounded out by the West Country (13), Newcastle (10) and Northern Ireland (five).
British. More than half of respondents (52%) said they like the British accent, a greater percentage than for any other dialect. The British accent in general was the favorite across those who identified as men and women, and was also ranked among the sexiest and most trustworthy.

Ireland is by far the most similar country to the United Kingdom, however they do have a few distinct differences. The data shows that Denmark is one country that is significantly more like the United Kingdom than Denmark. Both countries are mostly Protestant, unlike Ireland. They also are constitutional monarchies.
