Who is the greatest detective on earth?
Batman
Batman hasn't been called the World's Greatest detective for nothing. These stories from the comics prove his deductive skills. Before receiving a comic book of his own, Batman first appeared in Detective Comics, cementing his identity as a detective even before he was known as the World's Greatest.
In the comics, Batman is revered as the world's greatest detective, yet we haven't seen a film explore that side of him for a long time.
The guy is obviously smart, boasting deft logical skills, but what makes Batman such a great detective is his ability to gauge the psychological patterns of another, which directs him towards solving the final clue to the Riddler's plan (although it is a bit too late by then).
- Batman's first appearance was in the Detective Comics, issue #27 (1939).
- But it seems it was in the mid to late 2000's when "The World's Greatest Detective" became an explicit and major part of his character.
- This is a clip from The Batman (2004), in which we hear Batman being called the title from Superman himself.
Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock) The smartest TV detective of all time also has to be the most legendary fictional detective of all time.
