Will the NFL ever add another team?
The NFL hasn't added an expansion franchise since the Texans joined the league in 2002, and because of the math of having four teams in every division, are unlikely to add just one new franchise.
The NFL is always looking to expand its reach to as many fans as possible. More teams joining the league isn't a matter of if but when. We've compiled a list of the cities that deserve an NFL team the most. Your city just might be on it.
Mechanics. An affirmative vote of three-quarters of the owners of the NFL's 32 clubs is required before a new team can be created (known as expansion) or before an existing team is allowed to move to a new market (known as relocation), i.e. 24 or more clubs would have to approve of the decision.
The agreement was that the Browns retain their name and franchise history. Cleveland Browns rejoined the league in 1999. 2002: The Houston Texans entered the NFL, making it the newest NFL team.
Plus the people of Utah really love their college football team, and I think they could definitely support a great NFL team….Cities that Deserve NFL Franchises
- Mexico City. So I strongly believe Mexico City should have an NFL team.
- Hawaii.
- Canada.
- Los Angeles.
- Las Vegas.
- El Paso, Texas.
- London.
- NYC or Brooklyn.
